Polish Association for the Blind has engaged in cooperation with Transition Technologies S.A. on creation of a set of SeeingAssistant applications supporting visually impaired people. Based on the past experiences in implementing projects in cooperation with commercial companies we hereby claim that Transition Technologies S.A. proved to be professional and capable of fulfilling requirements cooperator.
Employees and associates of the PAB were given two applications to test: SeeingAssistant-Move for pedestrian navigation and SeeingAssistant-Home, assisting the user in daily activities at home. Both applications have earned our gratitude by offering user-friendly interface, usable and developed according to needs functionality, fully operational both from user interface and from voice commands. During the cooperation Transition Technologies S.A. was open for our needs and comments. Summarizing the producion and testing phase that we took part in we conclude that both applications are high quality products tailored to the needs of users with sight impairments.
SeeingAssistant applications are a great examples of matching equipment and modern technology to the needs of visually impaired users. We recommend both applications to all users of the iPhone. SeeingAssistant-Home and SeeingAssistant-Move align with PAB mission statement that is to support and assist blind and visually impaired in achieving self-reliance in daily and professional life.
